Main functions
UL651 falling weight impact tester is a combined test machine that newly designed, which can be used for impact test of UL651 Schedule 40, 80, Type EB and A Rigid PVC Conduit and Fittings and ASTM D2444 Thermoplastic Pipe and Fittings.
Work principle
UL 651 Falling Weight Impact Tester is a free fall dropping impact tester.
This drop weight impact tester is composed of guide rail, base, anvil, hammer and lifting mechanism.
The guide rail of the testing machine is perpendicular to the base, and the base has sufficient rigidity.
The guide rails are kept parallel to guide the hammer to fall freely. The beam is moved up and down through the anchor chain to realize the up and down movement of the hammer body.
Install the pipe or profile to be tested on the workbench, adjust the height of the sample; select the hammer head and weight according to the requirements of the test standard, and combine the impact hammer; hang the hammer; start test, the hammer will freely fall off from that preset height and impact on the sample.
The microcomputer-controlled impact energy preset system, by presetting the hammer mass and test energy, the testing machine automatically raises the hammer to the required height. At the same time, the monitoring of safety protection devices can be realized.
The electric lifting mechanism is at the bottom right of the frame, which reduces the height of the whole machine, enhances the stability, and is convenient for maintenance.
Observe the rupture of the pipe or profile, one or less indicates that the impact resistance of the pipe or profile is meet to the standard, and more than one indicates the resistance Impact performance is not meet to the standard.
UL 651 Falling Weight Impact Tester offers an apparatus to prevent 2nd strike during testing.
